I can quit!
I see someone else started a new reveal blog: No Surprise Here. I guess I was just not quick enough for some people. I hope the new blog will be updated faster than this one because I have decided to stop revealing bags on this blog. I have loved every single second I spend on my blog but at times life comes first and not everyone understands that. I will not delete this blog because I might decide to start revealing again one day but for now, I'm done.

*update* I think what bothered me most is that the person who started the new reveal blog decided to advertise on my blog. I never advertised on another reveal blog about my blog. That is just not done, imho. I've received some very unpleasant emails and I tried not to let that get to me but when someone starts a new blog and decided to use my blog to make that known, well, that does hurt. Like my blog is not good enough. I put a lot of time, effort & money into this blog. I can hear you think, money? Yes. I have bought at least 50% of the bags I reveal myself. To keep this blog alive & updated.
I'm rambling now. I might have posted this message to soon. I will think about it and decide later on what I am going to do.

Cathy, you shouldn't let the impatient people bother you. There are a few of them but then there are 100 times more of us that are patient and understand. Don't let them get the best of you, I love your blog, I'd hate to see it stop.
Whatever your decision, I just want you to know that I think you've done a great job, and that I've really enjoyed your blog.
Thanks for all you have done! I understand how you feel. These past two months, I have had my computer on only five times. Family and life first. I am not tied to the computer, nor do I want to be!

So sorry to see you "retire" from the purpose of this blog. Hopefully, it's temporary. It was very helpful. Yes, life and family comes first. Too bad the other person didn't ask permission first; it's only common courtesy.

Cathy, I hope that you continue the blog. I understand why you wouldn't feel inclined, but for every rude, impatient person, there are probably five others who appreciate you and this blog very much. Maybe we need to tell you more often!

I really can understand your disappointment and anger. The nerve of some people is incredible. Thank you so much for doing this blog in the first place. I loved to visit from time to time to see if there was some interesting new reveal. You are totally right that life and family come first and I pity those that do not understand that concept.
So thanks again for this blog and do not let those people get to you that obviously lack the most common manners. Hope to see you here again.

Cathy i'm so sorry to read this, I love our postings with just te previews without personal opinions from you written to it, just previews and no BS....to bad your gonna quit, but I do understand. you can never please everyone....
I'm sad this blog won't be updated anymore . I only ever bought bags revealed on it. I don't like to take chances because i don't have too much money to play around with. I always understood you were busy and couldn't buy and update every Grabbag. Thanks for everything you did. I will keep this blog on my favorites just in case you change your mind.
Awe man, this really upsets me. Not the fact that there is another blog, but because they chose to advertise on yours. If you continue then I will be thrilled. If not, I totally understand. If you do continue I will always send you the previews for the grabbags I purchase. :) Even if you stop, I won't be frequenting the new blog.
I love what you do and hate to see you quit. When there is a reveal here I am very appreciative but if you don't get around to doing one I certainly understand family comes first..that is how it should be!!

I personally see no reason why anyone can't wait a bit for the reveal. You do reveal before they are not for sale, who cares if its not the first day its out. Sorry to hear you were hurt by the comments.

This is so sad to come here and read this! I've always appreciated all the time & effort you put into this and now finding out about the money too. I liked it here so much and would hate to see it end! To be honest, I bought grab bags that I didn't necessarily want just so I could send you the links that others were anxious to see - that's how much I appreciated it here too.
Hope you decide to stay and not let others ruin it! There's always going to be others there trying to bring ya down but don't let them stop ya!

Cathy, I have to say that I have thoroughly enjoyed your blog.
I love your no-nonsense approach to showing the previews, price, and linking us up to the store. I've sent in several previews to you (when I saw they weren't on your blog), and hopefully if you continue, more of your readers will also contribute, when they pick up a bag that isn't shown here.
Other than a very few occasions, I only bought GBs that you previewed here. I usually won't buy something sight-unseen, and hopefully the designers will begin to recognize that you are actually helping their sales, not hurting them.
Whatever you decide, just know that I have really appreciated this blog!
Well I for one am sorry to see you go. I have appreciated the service you provided here. Too many times I bought a grab bag based on the hype only to be disappointed. Since I discovered your blog I have avoided making the same mistake. Now I only buy grab bags that I have already seen and know the content of. Thank you.

I've definitely enjoyed stopping in and thank you for everything you've revealed. It's put me on to some new designers I've never heard of, so that's a good thing!!
I can totally understand and respect your need for taking a hiatus, be it permanent or temporary. I have really appreciated this blog, so I just wanted to give you another big "Thank you!!"
Why would you quit? New businesses come and go and there's always going to be competition but that doesn't mean you should stop. Most people know YOUR blog. You have the great name so don't stop just because someone else started. Brand Loyalty baby! We are here for you.

I'm sorry to read that you are closing your blog. I agree with you that life comes first though, so I definitely understand your decision (and your relief!). I've enjoyed your blog more than any other reveal blog before, because of the classy and respectful way you've run your blog. I wish you luck in whatever you choose for the future, and hopefully one day you'll decide to come back to this blog.
Well, this simply SUCKS! I love your blog, and I've never used another reveal blog. I can't imagine having to go somewhere else to get my peeks. Sigh... I'm so sorry that people are impatient and cruel and can't understand that this is your PERSONAL SPACE and that you're not required to give us anything.
I've always appreciated all the information you've given me, and I hope that something else comes your way that excites you and that you can bring alive like this blog.

Cathy... please please please don't stop updating!!! I LOVE stopping in here every few days to see whats new! I love the way you have everything set up (its so pretty!), and I like the way you showcase everything. I went over to the other reveal site, and its just plain BORING, no fun writing, nothing. I will NEVER visit it anyways, I would much rather come here!
Please stay updating us! The other site will probably blow over because it already looks like it's starting (no reveal emails, zero comments in ALL the reveals). You've got the market on Grab Bag reveals, not some wanna-be, glory stealer!
Harsh? Maybe. But I agree that advertising a new blog here is totally inappropriate and it makes me mad. I'm boycotting the "other" one!!!
Personally, I hope you dont stop...I come here several times a week to check..we all have lives and if some doesnt understand that, that is their problem but I appreciate you taking the time not to mention yes the money youve spent to keep us updated...
